My Multiple-Choice question has changed to a short answer question or has disappeared
The multiple-choice questions in the portal are marked automatically by our system when you exit out of the assessment task for that unit/cluster.
If the answer is correct, then the question will not appear when the assessment area is next accessed. You will notice this as question numbers will be missing. For instance: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q5. This tells you Q4 was a multiple-choice question and you have answered it correctly. Well done!
If the answer is incorrect, or only partially answered, then the question will be sent back to you to re-attempt. Depending on the question, it may let you enter a multiple-choice answer again or in most cases, it will revert to a NEW question that will be a short-answer response. This is a unique feature with our system that then allows you to answer the new question in your own words outlining your understanding/experience in that situation.
Please note short answer questions are assessed by our TAE team and these are not seen by our assessors until ALL questions have been responded to and that particular cluster/unit has been submitted in full.
