What more needs to be done to hold the new version - TAE40116?

Though it is not a mandatory requirement at this time, individuals who wish to hold the current version of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) only need to undertake a small amount of ‘gap’ training and assessment in two other units; TAEASS401 - Plan assessment activities and processes and TAEASS403 - Participate in assessment validation. The preceding versions of these units from the TAE40110 have had some updates and therefore cannot be credit transferred, however, it is possible only to address the gaps without having to complete the whole units again.

The upgrade program, therefore, consists of:

• TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills
• TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools
• TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes (Gap Assessment only)
• TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation (Gap Assessment only)
